Dr Edna Sun is an Australian trained specialist GP who also has Fellowships in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine as well as Lifestyle Medicine.
She completed her medical training at the University of Western Australia, graduating with honours. She enjoys seeing whole families and also has post-graduate qualifications in children's health, women's health and dermatology.

Dr Sun is one of WA's most experienced holistic integrative doctors, holding the highest level of qualifications possible in Australasia. She loves to take the whole person into account, believing in getting to the root cause of each problem. She has extensive experience in functional testing in areas such as the gut microbiome, food sensitivities, environmental toxins and hormone testing to name a few. She loves to help her patients maximise their nutrients guided by evidence based laboratory testing, as it is such an effective way to optimise health and wellness. She is experience at prescribing a wide range of prescription only supplements and nutrients.
She practices evidence-based medicine and enjoys various teaching roles. She works regularly with the RACGP (Royal Australian College of General Practitioners), supporting them in the RACGP fellowship examinations, and regularly performs external clinical training for them. She is an adjunct senior lecturer at the University of Western Australia, Notre Dame University and Curtin University Medical school and teaches medical students regularly.

Special Interests
Dr Sun has special interest in nutrient deficiencies, gut health and preventative health.

She is not experienced in using functional medicine to treat patients with cancer or autism. She does not prescribe bio-identical hormones, perform IV nutrients, do heavy metal chelation or perform complex DNA testing.
